31 days...minus 3

Over at Lisa Jo's there is a challenge going on.  It's something about writing for 31 days about your life's story.  Or maybe not.  I'm not really sure that I get what she's doing, but it all seems to be about writing in an uncensored way about your life for the next 31 days.

But my life's pretty messy, and, you know, I don't know you, you don't know me, or maybe I DO know you and you DO know me and well that can get a little touchy, so I don't think I'm going to go all out on this 'write about my life' challenge...

But I think I will concede to write about my day.

Today has been an exceptional day.

Why?  you ask.  Did you conquer the world?  Did you clean the house?  Do the dishes?  Fold the laundry?

No.

Well, I did do the dishes and fold the laundry...

But that's beside the point.

Today, yes, today, everyone slept.  At the same time.  For more than 20 minutes.

Ok.  Well except for me.  I didn't sleep.  And Elizabeth.  She was in DC.  And Jimmy, he was at work.

But other than that, Jo, Jesse and Gabriel all slept.  At the same time.

Oh.  Wait!  That kinda means that I DID conquer the world.   Hooray for me!

Of course that was AFTER we had to go to the hospital to pick up some records for Jo's appointment tomorrow and Gabriel almost got stuck in the elevator and sent off to some unknown floor in Fairfax Hospital...

This, people, is why he wears a leash.  Don't ask me why I forgot to put it on him for this trip!

Anyway, that's pretty much all I accomplished today.  Jimmy off to work, Liz off to DC, trip to Fairfax Hospital, stop by the doctors to get the rest of Jo's records, home for lunch, put Jesse down, put Jo down, put Gabriel down, but Jo down again, put Gabriel down again, put Gabriel down AGAIN, get Jesse up, put Jesse down again...whew!...all sleeping!  Laundry, dishes...Liz home, Gabriel up, Jo up...

Now for some coffee.  I never understand why people drink coffee in the morning.  I need it in the afternoon slump!  Well, either that or a nap...

  1. Whew....you did conquer the world. Maybe when they were all asleep at the same time you should have done the same thing!! I'm a huge fan of naps.
